Hello everyone!

It has been a while since I’ve written a news update for Facebook and, so after a very hectic spring and a restful July, here is a short summary of the latest news.

My work with the Osterøy Lutheran Parish as a temporary church musician and organist was officially finished June 14th after a short term appointment lasting four months. It has been a true delight to work in The Lord’s service again and I wish everyone well as regular church Cantor Per Inge Hove returns to his post after taking parental leave.

Amalie Torp and I continue to build a repertoire of original songs for eventual performance for our duo act, “Dual Impressions.” Thanks to her encouragement and help, I’m learning more about how to be a songwriter, which has been a pleasant surprise for me. More information will be shared as songs are written and as performances are booked. For those outside Norway looking for English language songs from us, I have been doing my best to refine my own songs while Amalie has been working on both English language and Norwegian language songs from her past and present repertoire.

I will be conducting three choirs during fall 2015 as of this article. I will be returning to conduct Damekoret Toneveld, a Bergen Women’s Choir (who celebrate their 70th anniversary in 2016), the Tysnes Chamber Choir and Os Chamber Choir (Os Kammerkor, who celebrate their 40th anniversary season in 2015-2016). Some of their performance dates for the 2015-2016 season are posted on my Facebook artist page and at, with more dates to come.

I will also be working from a distance with entertainment chairlady Susan Hansen in planning music performances for The Village of Canwood’s 100th anniversary, which will take place from July 29-July 31, 2016. More details will be announced on this website as the dates get closer.

I will be back in Saskatchewan for performances with The Cleavers at the Northern Lights Casino in Prince Albert Monday, August 10th and the John Arcand Fiddle Fest in Saskatoon from August 13th-16th.

In closing, four new original piano solos are now notated and available for sale from the webshop at

Until next time, see you somewhere down the musical trail!
