Notes for Workshop Participants Coming to the Osterøy Workshop Sunday, April 19, 2009 Print E-mail

Hello, everyone!  It's been a while since the last news update on North Atlantic, but because our April 17-19 weekend shows and workshop are getting close, we now have some details we can share on the upcoming Osterøy workshop and concert with Felaliv on Sunday, April 19th at the Osterøy Museum in Gjerstad, Osterøy, Norway.  Plase pass this on to anyone who might be interested in attending.

The fiddle and piano accompaniment classes will be taught in English. The guitar/bass class and vocal classes will be taught in Norwegian.

All fiddlers, guitarists and bassists are asked to bring their own instruments.

All vocal students are encouraged to come with their best singing voice.

For the piano students, some keyboards will be provided, but if a piano student has his/her own electronic piano and bench they can transport for the workshop, this would be greatly appreciated by the organizers and the teacher.

It is advisable that students bring the following items as they will not be provided:

Pencil/pen and notebook to take notes.
A recording device for use in class (MP3 recorder, Mini Disc, etc.).
Spare strings, accessories, etc.
